In the land of Rokugan, clans vie for power under the Emperor's rule. Each player assume control of a clan attempt to either gain enough honor to impress the emperor, dishonor their opponent or break their opponents Stronghold. This is Fantasy Flight Games reimagining of the long running card game Legend of the Five Rings (L5R), under their Living Card Game system. It maintains the unique two deck system from the original game but streamlines some of the mechanics. Legend of the Five Rings was known for letting the community influence the story through tournaments and other events, which was a tradition that Fantasy Flight retained. In February of 2021 FFG announce that Legend of the Five Rings card game would be coming to an end with the final expansion being released in June 2021.
